Cyberlaw dictionary is an alphabetical reference guide to technical and legal terms related to the Internet. The site you are now browsing contains over 500 definitions of words drawn from Standard Internet English including technical terms and their meanings. Our aim is to explain basic technical jargon of cyberspace to those who are not familiar with its jargon. Microprocessor
a silicon chip, or integrated circuit that contains a computer’s central processing unit (CPU). The microprocessor, (or simply processor), is considered the computer’s brain. Microprocessors are responsible for the way computers calculate, analyze and organize data. When evaluating a personal computer for home use, the speed which the microprocessor operates is among the most, if not the most important of considerations. The speed of the proces-sor is measured in megahertz. see CPU.
